In case you haven't noticed, We were perfect in the NFL play-off first round, going 2-0 against the spread and registering a 4-0 record on the money line. With that in mind, our bracket really doesn't require any updating. That said, the NFL playoff is a big sports event in our calendar and I believe it demands more attention with a new post.. So, for the next round, expect same predictions, but with a bit more analysis on the games that remain. Looking at the charts, I don't really see any potential upsets like we had in the first round.
AFC
1. New England Patriot OVER 6. Baltimore Ravens
I'd like to thank Baltimore for coming through as underdogs in the first round. That said, this one is surely easy money to cash in. Baltimore has cemented itself as a winning franchise that played an arch rival in which they were extremely familiar with while Pittsburgh Steelers were without their best running back and arguably most influential player. With a well-rested New England Patriots team hosting a shabby Ravens defense in Foxborough where Tom Brady has been nothing less than amazing this year. I frankly can't see how Baltimore's defense will keep Brady from shredding them apart.
2015 New England Patriots 30 – Baltimore Ravens 15
2. Denver Broncos OVER 4. Indianapolis Colt
This match-up is a bit tricky because of how efficient the Colts offense has looked for large stretches this season. In my opinion, Peyton Manning hasn't been quite as good in compare to previous year, but their running game has been good and this has allowed a more balanced and potent attack which looked hard to deal with this year. Indy is certainly capable of pulling an upset, but in a battle between Manning versus Luck, I'll go with the Hall of Famer instead of the second year pro because Manning has the experience edge and knows how to get it done.
Broncos 30 – Colts 19
NFC
1. Seattle Seahawk OVER 4. Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers are very happy to be playing in the playoffs, which in turn makes them very dangerous team to go against. Unfortunately, quarterback Cam Newton is hurt, the defense has not been consistent at all, and they will be on the road playing in the hardest stadium in the National Football League to play in. The Seahawks has a very dependable defense, balanced offense, and is well-rested because they did not played last week. Seattle will be ready to go and I strongly believe they will run away with it specially if you consider how sloppy Carolina were during their first round game.
Seahawks 37 – Panthers 12
2. Green Bay Packers OVER 3. Dallas Cowboy
This one will eventually come down to whoever has home field advantage. While Dallas and Tony Romo won last week playoff game, they could had easily lost it if the referees hadn't made a few questionable calls down the stretch. I strongly believe they simply got lucky last week but now they have to face the Packers and Aaron Rogers and I doubt their luck will continue into a second week. This match up will be a battle but once the smaokes clears, Tony Romo will falter again because of his history + the inkown and untested nature of Dallas Cowboys defense.
Packers 34 – Cowboys 26
