Tebow Homers in First Day After Promotion To St Lucie

Image result for tim tebow st lucie mets

After getting promoted from Class-A to High Class A team St Lucie, Tim Tebow once again homered on his first day with his new team. The fit was accomplished during the second game of a double header and Tim finished going 3 for 5 in these 2 games.

The promotion of Tebow gained him a lot of haters who felt he did not deserve a promotion after only batting .220 with 3 HR on 64 games, but so far, while it is early, Tebow is proving his Nay-Sayers wrong by raising his performance in tougher league.

As July 30th, Tebow is hitting .556 in 3 games alongside 1 HR. .636 OBP, .889 SLG.

TIM TEBOW SUCCESSFUL MLB BASEBALL TRY-OUT

Tim Tebow

Ex-Broncos Quarterback and Heisman trophy winner Tim Tebow held a workout/tryout for Major League Baseball teams and from most reports out of the field, it went well for Tim. At least better than many expected.

Apparently, 46 scouts from 28 MLB teams were present at the Tebow's tryouts. This included about 50 media personels. The Oakland Athletics and the Chicago Cubs were the only 2 teams that did not send scouts to take a look at Tim Tebow.

Tim Tebow begin his workout for the many scouts with 60-yard dash drill. This was suppose to be a simulation on how fast he can run from first to second base in real MLB games and according to many media reports, Tebow was clocked from 6.6 to 6.8. On in MLB scale, his timing is basically average to above average, which is not bad at all for a 6'3 and 255 pound guy. The fact that he's faster than 50% of all Major Leaguers is a positive. He won't be too slow running around the bases.

After the 60-yard dash drill, Tebow was put into the outfield to catch some fly balls and test his throwing arm toward second base and home plate. According to scouts supervising this part of the draw, Tebow armed looked below average which is a surprise to me eventhough he wasn't really a good throwing QB in the NFL. I still expected an NFL quarterback to have somewhat of an above average arm as a Major League Baseball player.

The next drill was batting practice where the batter gets tossed 40mph fast ball and Tebow did really well there, demonstrating raw power by hitting a few long homeruns. Supposedly, he hit one that was measured at 440.

Unfortunately, Tebow was not able to carry this amazing power to the live batting section of the hitting drills where pitchers were throwing him real pitches to try to get him out. So he saw curved balls and slider, unlike the batting practice drill where he was simply fed soft fast-ball to hit.

All and all, Tebow looked respectable but he will need to work on making contact to make it into the MLB. Nevertheless, Tim had shown enough for at least 1 team to give him a chance and send him to the minor league. At that point, he'll have to do well enough to climb up the minor league ladder.

I wish Tebow well and will be hoping he defies all odds and make it to shut down all his distractors.

MLB Playoff Picks And Performance

I hope you are you excited , MLB Playoff is here!
It started really well for us with a solid win of Kansas City Royals

Below is what our brackets resembles:

Here are the predictions
Wild Card Round

Oakland Athletics at Kansas City Royals – One Game Playoff

Lester V Shields

They don’t call him “Big Game James” for nothing. The way the Oakland Athletics have hit since the trade deadline, combined with a little bit of cold weather and a hot Kansas City team, makes me lean ever so slightly to the home team here. It’s hard to bet against Lester, but the A’s bullpen is struggling and they haven’t been scoring enough to earn my support. With that elimination game losing streak in tact for the Athletics, I’m on KC here.
Royals to win. - WON

San Francisco Giants at Pittsburgh Pirates – One Game Playoff

Bumgarner v Volquez

The Giants have a winning pedigree and a pitching advantage in this one game playoff on the road, but the Pittsburgh Pirates are surging. Again, for me, the Giants bats are too weak to trust on the road. I think the home team comes through.

Pirates 4 – Giants 3

ALDS

Detroit Tigers Vs Baltimore Orioles

The Orioles have been one of the hottest teams in baseball since separating from the pack a few months ago. I love the depth of their rotation, their coach, and their lineup. The Tigers held off the Royals, but in a mediocre division I don’t think they proved very much.   I expect the Orioles to pull through.

Orioles in six

Kansas City Royals Vs LA Angels

Burning your top pitcher just to get into the real playoffs makes for a difficult path, and I don’t think the Royals are consistent or deep enough to win under those conditions. While the Angels don’t blow me away, they’re better than Kansas City.

Angels in five

NLDS

St. Louis Cardinals vs LA Dodgers

The Cardinals seem to defy the odds by winning close games all year. The Dodgers seem to defy the odds by taking the most talented roster in the National League and turning it into a garbage fire of chaos and dysfunction. I choose the winners.

Cardinals in seven

Pittsburgh Pirates vs Washington Nationals

Either way, we get the Giants with their ace down or the Pirates with no clear ace. I think the Nationals pitching staff will dominate this series, regardless of who they play. This is why the top seed is such a big advantage.

Nationals in five

ALCS

Baltimore Orioles vs LA Angels

Losing one of their aces for the year is going to hurt the Angels against a team as deep as the Orioles. I think this series could be close, but the Orioles are the best team in the AL. Can they finally get over their recent history of losing? Wouldn’t it be fitting if the Orioles made it to the World Series the year Derek Jeter and his phantom home run retires?

Orioles in six

NLCS

St. Louis Cardinals vs Washington Nationals

I think the run ends for the Cardinals here, as their unimpressive play of late finally catches up with their ability for tight victories. The Nats rotation is great, the lineup is deep, and they finally seem to be clicking.   They just have to get past a Cardinals team with playoff experience and clutch hitting. I think they can do it, but I’m never willing to write off St. Louis completely.

Nationals in five

World Series

Baltimore Orioles vs Washington Nationals

I think it would be poetic justice for the Baltimore Orioles to win it all as Derek Jeter steps aside. It can symbolize a changing of the AL East guard and give Tony Tarasco and Jeffrey Maier some peace. That said, I don’t think it will happen. The Washington Nationals, led by their rotation and the depth of their lineup, will win the World Series this year.
Nats in six
